Our Promise

Longevity is our promise. We care you more than growth.

Running a public-facing platform like Veno could cost a lot of money. We hate seeing a great product having no free-tier for people to try out in long-term, but at the same time. we all hate when a platform suddenly shuts down because of the lack of funds. Therefore, our number-one goal at Veno is to make sure that we have enough money to keep the platform running for a long time, and to keep improving it. Here are the three things we are doing to make sure that Veno will be here for you:

First, recursive billing. To make sure that we can keep the platform running forever while having free services, we need a base recursive billing plan to cover the cost and make profits. When needed, we might consider adding usage-based billing beyond certain limits, but that will be disabled by default and you do not need to worry about getting surprised bills.

Second, content ownership. The best strategy of avoiding a sudden shutdown is to let you own your content at all. There will be no web3 magic here — we simply want to implement the Git version control system support, and let you have your contents synced at all time. This is on the roadmap, and we are not there yet.

Third, stable growth. We love growth, but we know the risk of growing too fast. It is not about the number of users, but the number of paying users. We want to ensure that all of our users are happy with the service, and we are not going to grow into the situation that our system cannot scale well. Rest assured, we care about the quality of the service, not the quantity of users.
